About the e-learning program

This free training program is specifically designed for humanitarian organizations to provide an overview of the humanitarian needs assessment process. This e-learning resource is provided by Kobo, the nonprofit behind KoboToolbox, and was co-developed with the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

This interactive course explores the process of conducting humanitarian needs assessments, with a focus on assessment coordination. Throughout the training, we’ll follow an interactive joint assessment scenario. As you proceed through the course modules, you’ll also find resources and information about programmatic and sectoral assessments.

This course was first published in 2015 as Coordinated Assessment Training Modules. It is being provided in its current form on KoboToolbox Academy to improve access to this resource for humanitarian organizations.
